Since our establishment in 1999, we have adhered to our corporate philosophy of "a new and more efficient broadband life for all." By pursuing our corporate mission of promoting competition and deregulation in the telecommunication market, we led the rapid growth of ADSL services and contributed to making Japan as one of the world's leading broadband markets.

eAccess focused on both high growth and profitability. We recorded a full-year net profit and eliminated the accumulated deficit quickly. In November 2004, we listed our shares on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE1), only five years after the Company's establishment. This marked effectively the fastest-ever listing on the TSE1. Furthermore, we were able to raise the considerable funds through our subsidiary, eMobile Ltd., in order to prepare for the significant expansion of our business domain from ADSL to mobile broadband. Supported by a stable financial base of ADSL and AOL businesses, eAccess pursues a flexible and proactive management strategy and aims for a convergence of fixed-line and mobile broadband services.
